The following steps describe how to update the Used Boats and/or New Boats documents on the web site.
The documents must always be called 'usedboats.doc' or 'newboats.doc' and should be
kept in the 'My Documents' folder on your computer.
Follow these steps ONCE:
- Browse to http://www.globalscape.com and click on the 'Products' link (top of page)
- Under the 'File Management & Security' section (lower left of page), click 'Cute FTP'
- Click 'Download your free trial now!' (Bottom of page) -- or click 'Buy Now'
- Follow the instructions to complete the download of cuteftp.exe
- Install the product taking the defaults
- Run cuteftp (Start/Program Files/GlobalSCAPE/CuteFTP/
- On the CuteFTP Connection Wizard page,
- - Enter "tricitymarine" and click 'Next'
- - Enter "tricitymarine.com" and click 'Next'
- - For 'User name:' enter "the-user-name", and for 'Password:' enter "the-password".
Note: do NOT check 'Anonymous logon' or 'Mask password' -- click
'Next'
- - Leave 'Default Local Directory:' blank and click 'Next'
- - Check both 'Connect to this site automatically' and 'Add to right-click shell integration -- click 'Finish'
Follow these steps EVERY TIME the documents need to be updated:
- Run cuteftp (Start/Program Files/GlobalSCAPE/CuteFTP/
- Pick "tricitymarine" and click 'Connect'
- On the left pane (left side of page), click and drag 'usedboats.doc' and/or 'newboats.doc' to the right pane (right side of page)
- Click 'Yes' to Upload selected file(s)
- Click 'Overwrite' to File already exists (do this twice if uploading 2 files)
- When Done, Click 'File' and 'Exit'
